This summer saw Daniel Honstein take his final examinations alongside other trainees at our company. The results achieved by the 22-year-old made him the state winner in the Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management training profession for the subject of Foreign Trade.
In the scope of the award ceremony, managing director Jörg Delveaux looked back on the story of how Daniel Honstein found his way to rff. His father, Johann, also works at rff and when thoughts turned to what should follow school, he suggested to his son that he could complete a placement at rff. Following this, Daniel decided to apply for a commercial trainee place. In the interview it emerged that the Accounting department could be a suitable match.
With hindsight, both father and son are glad and grateful for choosing this path. Jörg Delveaux also drew a positive conclusion, emphasising that well-trained junior talent and the future capability of the company are of elementary importance. “Today’s talent is the skilled workforce of tomorrow,” said the managing director, stressing how important it is to continue to train further after completing training, to be well prepared for the challenges to come.
Praise for the outstanding achievement also came from Dieter Revink, whose position as Head of Finance & HR also includes responsibility for training. He saw Daniel Honstein as having good prerequisites and offered him – as with all other employees at rff – tailored support for his further career. In conclusion, Melanie Seele, head of Accounting, expressed how “incredibly proud and grateful” she is to have accompanied him on his path from dedicated trainee to ambitious young clerk. The successful trainee himself has some ideas but no specific plans for the future after commencing at rff and starting his professional career at the firm.
